Promoting the diversification of national energy supplies
  • 400 biomethane production plants, built by third parties, connected to the distribution network by 2028
  • 200 tonnes of green hydrogen produced and distributed in the Group's P2G pilot plant in Sardinia by 2028, demonstrating the viability of the solution for transport, industrial and residential uses

The first biomethane plant whose connection to the Italgas distribution network was completed in December 2022, guarantees maximum daily production of 10,000 m3 for a maximum annual total of 2.5 million m3.

Our commitment to health and safety is formalised in the Italgas Group “Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Energy Policy (HSEQE)”, aimed at enhancing and protecting human resources, which are essential values for the Company.  In our activities we operate in such a way as to protect the health and safety of workers, aligning ourselves with the best available technologies,  with a view to preventing accidents, injuries and occupational diseases and ensuring adequate information and training on these issues.
