Environmental protection and decarbonisation are objectives pursued in every area of our business: in gas distribution, with the evolution of networks to make them suitable for renewable gases; in the water sector, with the efficient management of resources; through the enhancement of the activities of the ESCO Geoside and the reduction of energy consumption and emissions. We are attentive to protecting the ecosystems in which we operate and promoting the circular economy.
QuoteOur guiding principles for value creation are the realization of new networks ready to handle renewable gases and the push on efficiency for a streamlined use of resources.

Network innovation and digitisation to enable energy transition and decarbonisation
The innovation is the main driver of our development strategy. The capacity to consolidate our leadership position in Italy and Europe by being at the forefront, also at a global level, in the gas distribution segment, is driven by technological innovation. Through digitisation, networks are adapted to accommodate and distribute different and renewable gases such as biomethane, biogas and hydrogen.
destined for network digitisation in the 2022-2028 Strategic Plan
Attention to the environment
The sustainability targets set for 2028 aim to reduce CO2 emissions and energy consumption, allowing the Group to stay ahead of the EU's 2030 targets.
